Analysis of double page spreads

This is my first design idea for the double page spread of my magazine. Along the top of the page is the masthead 'ghetto to stiletto' this would be in the same font as my front cover and contents page to keep a theme throughout my magazine. Just underneath the masthead is the main headline which explains a little information based on the article that the double page spread is f*ocuses on, this is seen in many magazines and makes the spread look more professional. The background of the spread consists of two long shot images, this is important as from my questionnaire it was noticeable that one of the main attractions to a magazine was images. I had planned to spit the text into three columns, as this would make it much easier for the buyer to read rather than one paragraph of writing which can come across boring. Along the side of the text i had chosen to use a smaller image of the artists in action at a concert as this makes the spread presentation look more eye-catching. Finally alongside the columns of text i had added quotes that the artists had mention during the interview that i had come with, these could be very effective as they were inspirational quotes and direct from the artist to the reader.
.
This is my second design idea for my double page spread. The masthead in along the top of the page which is therefore very eye-catching to the reader also it will be in the same font as the front page and contents page. Just underneath this are two images with a quote direct form the text. This is effective as its direct form the artists mouth something that the audience is drawn to. The columns of text are split into two separate sides of the page with quotes filling in the middle along with an image of the artist during the interview; this is effective as the reader can see for themselves the artist in action whilst reading there comments

This is my last design for double page spread. Along the top of the page i had chosen to put a banner in order to write the artists tour dates or their next album which the reader would be interested in knowing. Directly underneath is the masthead' Ghetto 2 stiletto'. However this is split so that the words are below each other again unusual and eye-catching. Either side of this is two small images of the artist that the article is based on along with a quote direct from the interview. Unlike the other ideas, i had chosen to place the main image in the middle of the page with the text built around it, i had chosen to do so as images had been the main attraction for a magazine as i had looked at the results from my questionnaire.
